Here is a summary of my new Mac OS X version Snow Leopard. This blog post includes some thoughts on the new OS, applications I think are worth while to install on my Mac -which serves mostly as a memory/link list for myself and then some complaining..
I think it’s amazing to create a brand so strong that I can hardly wait for the next update of the OS -and the real treat is that I can read my e-mail seamlessly. What is even more amazing is that the mail integration doesn’t really work but I still think the new OS version is great. It is a bit faster and looks a little bit sharper compared to the prior version.
Having this said I’m sure there are great changes in the OS under the hood and my general experience with Apple to date is nothing but best in class.
UPDATE; exchange works!
The main feature I was looking for is seamless Exchange integration (for work). Unfortunately this didn’t work; so of course I’m disappointed. I guess I have to wait for the Exchange server to be updated to latest patches.

Some essential software to install; most of it is free or open source.
